Papua New Guinea Sigri Estate AA Coffee Beans
In the highlands of Papua New Guinea is where the truly great beans come from.
At just over 5000 feet in altitude the Sigri plantation is situated in the Wahgi Valley, in the Western Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea. The plantation was established in the 1950s and gained a reputation that has led to Sigri being recognized as producing a gourmet coffee equal to the world's best for the past twenty years.
All plantings are exclusively Arabica, concentrating on varieties that originated from seed introduced to Papua New Guinea from Jamaica Blue Mountain.
In short this is not your typical PNG. Don't miss this one!
Tasting Notes: A really amazing cup that is different from many other PNG coffees. A lighter body than an average Papua New Guinea with some great caramel and floral notes. Low acidity with a nice brightness when roasted lightly.
